Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bone Cancer Research Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now!
In August 2007 my twin sister Emily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of primary bone cancer in her right shoulder. Osteosarcoma is a rare form of cancer, which when caught early has a successful rate of recovery. Even after several doctors appointments Emily's condition went undiagnosed for over 6 months. Emily has just finished 8 months of chemotheraphy, and is currently on a 6 week course of radiotheraphy to try and shrink her tumour further.
2 weeks ago Emily was told that her cancer had spread across her lungs and ribcage and there was nothing more that could be done.
*Bone Cancer Research is devoted to promoting research and awareness into the causes and treatment of bone cancer, so cases like Emily's can become a thing of the past*
On the 29th of June 2008 We, (Emily's family and friends) will be running our bones off at Plock Court to raise money for The Bone Cancer Research Trust.
As people who know Emily, we need as many of you to get involved, get running or walking and raise some cash!!
If you would like to get involved, make a donation or help in anyway, then please Email us and we can send you all the relevant sponsorships forms and stuff you need to get started.
Many thanks for your support.x.
