Story

Hi Friend

>>>UPDATE<<<
I completed the ride!

Firstly a BIG thanks to those who organized the ride, Andrew, Jason & Ilana
Also a big thanks to the rest of the riders, it was a great week and a pleasure riding with you all. It was hard! but I really enjoyed it and I intend to do it next year.....
We have raised as a group in the region of £80,000 so the biggest thanks must go to my family, friends and work colleagues for the incredibly generous donations that I have received from them.

Thanks for visiting the page, I realise that you will have been shocked to discover that someone as prone to long immobile spells on the couch as I had committed to doing an arduous cycle ride and yes it could well be part of a mid life crisis.... So thanks for vising my page even if it was only to satisfy your curiosity!

The ride itself is incredibly arduous and will make the Alpine stage of the Tour de France look like days out for cycling wimps. So please have in mind the magnitude of my discomfort when you make your donation!

100% of your donation goes to the charity, I am paying for all the costs of the trip, none of the donated money will go towards this.

The charities I am raising money for however support subjects close to my heart. One based in the UK and one in Israel.

Would you please consider dividing your donation between these charities.

In these troubled times it is a privilege to raise money for a charity in Israel supporting students and children with special needs in the Galilee (the Galil). please visit www.north4north.org to see where your money will go.

This charity supports ex British Servicemen who have sustained psychological injury in the line of duty. Psychological care for ex servicemen in the UK is patchy. The charity's work is deeply valued by the servicemen and is well described on its website www.combatstress.org
thanks for your time and your generous donation
best wishes
