We are fundraising in memory of our daughter, Gaia, who sadly passed away on 28th January 2021 aged 17 weeks.

She had been admitted to hospital after feeling unwell and after numerous tests (she was very brave,) over 3 days, she was diagnosed with Necrotic Bowel.  

Gaia was then operated on by amazing staff at Hull Royal Infirmary to remove the necrotic portion (36cm) and surprised all hospital staff by coming through the operation and waking from the anesthesia without support.  Sadly there were complications around 15 hours later which were too much for Gaia to recover from.

Gaia was a happy soul and we would like her to be remembered for helping other families affected by the condition.
