Sadly I got beaten by a carrot...lol
Finally my moans and groans are over, thank you everyone...with an event like this it's either sheer determination that gets you through or its the support of those around you...I had over 100 messages over the last 3 days to say good luck and check up on me....14 people came to London to support me and that's not to mention the support on here and off over the last 6months...I'm very lucky. THANK YOU

THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has supported me and shown how important Tom was to everybody. It was your words and memories of him that kept me going today: STANDING ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS.

If you want to follow my progress online then my number is 12576. If you're heading to London by any chance then i'll be at the letter V on Horse Guards Parade at 1345/1400 and if you're trying to follow me on the course then look at the Spectators Guide on the FLM page and follow the 3.45 pace cos i won't be running faster than that!

As you may already be aware Thomas Asdell passed away in January. In memory of the kind, unbelieveably intelligent young man who was an inspiration to us all I've decided to run the London Marathon for both Help For Heroes and for Thomas' chosen charity- The Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital Charitable Fund.

Thomas lived with muscular dystrophy all of his life and for the last 10 years the Royal Brompton provided him with essential equipment and support, both of which increased his quality of life. Along with the love and support of his family, this charity enabled Thomas to lead a somewhat 'normal' life despite his condition and allowed him to achieve so much in, unfortunately, so little time.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital Charitable Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
