Story

Saigon Children's Charity was founded to help disadvantaged Vietnamese children to get an education and a fair start in life. Saigon Children's Charity takes simple, practical steps to ensure that the children most in need get an education. They build schools, give scholarships, target additional support and help, as well as provide vocational training. The charity operates in and around Ho Chi Minh City, mainly in rural areas and some provinces further afield.

IPD is raising funds through various events and activities in 2009 and 2010 which will enable Saigon Children's Charity to build a school for a large group of 3-5 year olds in the Tra Vinh Province. Reading Half Marathon is one of the main fundraising events, which 10 athletic, enthusiastic or mad IPD staff (whichever way you want to look at it!), are taking part in this year. We believe this is a great way to raise awareness of the charity to our friends, family and colleagues as well as raising as much cash as possible for a thoroughly worthwhile cause.
