In memory of Sam

In January of 2009 we were devastated to lose Sam in a road traffic accident. On that day the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance played a critical role in the safe delivery of his son Isaac. Being 8 months pregnant and suffering from a ruptured placenta,both Faye's and Isaac's lives were threatened and were saved by the vital minutes gained in getting them to hospital as well as by the expert skills that the team were able to employ.

The Air Ambulance Service is critical in life threatening or time critical situations.  It receives no funding from the Government or the National Lottery and rely almost entirely on the generosity of the public to ensure a helicopter, which costs approximately £3,800 per day, can keep flying.

Our family will be forever indebted to them and so on the 5th August we will be undertaking the 3 Peaks Challenge, which involves walking the 3 highest peaks in England, Scotland & Wales within 24 hours.

Sam's children are happy & healthy, for this he would be so grateful. In them we are reminded of him and they bring happiness to our lives each day. We are aiming to raise enough funds to enable a helicopter to fly for just 2 days so that others can benefit as we did.
