Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

On 4th October 2008 I swam a mile in 60 minutes in my local swimming pool to raise money for Help for Heroes.  I completed the 64+ lengths of the swimming pool in comfortable time within the 60 minutes allocated and went on to do about another 10 slow lengths. Although this was not a massive effort from me compared to what our troops have to live with when injured in theatre I am proud to know that I have friends like you who helped to raise much needed funds for our true heroes.  Every little really does help and I would like to say a huge thank you to all.

Sunday: 5th October 2008 - UPDATE FROM ME

Hello everyone!  I survived!!!  I really would like to say a big thank you to those who sponsored me for this very worthy cause and as you can see from the total at the top of the page so far it is just an incredible amount.  There may be a few more pounds to add to that total and once the money trickles in I will update you all with the final amount that not only I achieved but also the other 8 or 9 colleagues who also swam their own challenge on the same day.  Apparently there are some photographs on the way so I will also send those to you all.  

Now that the event is over it is over to me to now call on some of your bluffs as stated in the comments sections...  I will pass on the vaseline thank you very much but when do I get the massage?  Ooooh, how my muscles ache LOL.
