Land's End to John O'Groats Cycling Challenge

Land's End to John O'Groats in 5 Days · 30 April 2019
I am attempting to cycle the 1389 km / 863 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats in 5 days to raise funds for Guide Dogs.
On Tuesday 30th April 2019 I will set off from Land's End, Cornwall on a 5 days 1389 km / 863 mile cycling trip from the most south western point of mainland UK, to the most north eastern point, John O'Groats, Scotland to raise as much as I can for Guide Dogs.
I will be cycling unsupported carrying everything I need for the trip other than buying provisions en route, riding an average of 165 miles a day stopping overnight at B&B's, YHA Hostels or with friends. I am paying for all costs of the trip myself which means every £ of what I raise will go direct to Guide Dogs.
Why Guide Dogs? My Dad is registered severely sight impaired, having started to lose his sight some 14 years ago. This charity helps those with sight loss to continue as normal a life as possible with support and assistance including, but not exclusively, by providing assistance dogs.
Guide Dogs have always been a charity supported by my family. I will be undertaking this challenge with my Dad in mind and to help raise money for a charity which supports and helps those with sight loss.
Please join me in raising money for such a vital charity for those suffering with sight loss. All donations will be greatly appreciated, and will fuel my motivation for the upcoming challenge.
I will be keeping a blog over the next few months covering my preparations and the trip itself so you can keep up to date on how I get on. Anyone who donates will receive a link to this blog.
