Story
We completed our jump on Sunday the 18th July at Headcorn Airbase near Maidstone, around mid day!
We were blessed with great weather and a fantastic team of professional people who made both Lisa and I feel at ease! It didn't go totally to plan as literally minutes before us getting on our aircraft to go, a tiger moth light aircraft crashed in the fields opposite us. Thankfully no one was hurt, although £50,000 worth of damage to the aircraft! She was an old bird too, so I doubt she will ever fly again. You can imagine, Lisa and I did not really need that to happen! Anyway, after ambulances and fire engines left the runway, off we went. (but a huge thanks goes to our family and friends who were there to keep our nerves at bay!)
The jump, was the most exhilarating experience that we have both ever had. But all the way through it, we never forgot why we were doing this. Thanks to you all, we have managed to raise (so far) over £3400... and it is still going up for our charity Breast Cancer Campaign.
Although we might be too late for some, we really hope that all of your contributions to this will help others.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please do browse through the photos I have uploaded on here of our jump, we had professionals take them (and a DVD) ... the views were breathtaking.
Lets hope we can all get a cure for this horrible disease.
Lots of Love and HUGE thanks for your support.
