Welcome to the fundraising page for the Ramshackle Rallies Team Jamaican Bacon inn! (we were the penguins of the Apocalypse last year)

The team consists of Matt "Mav" Goodman, Neil "Fatboy" Gwinnutt, Pete "The meat" Bardell and Paul "Pablo" Martin.

Ramshackle is the epitome of absurdity. The willing participants must place their trust in a hundred and fifty quid's worth of scrap metal and set off on an epic banger rally covering 1500 miles (double for us as we're driving back too). One hundred teams will compete in what promises to be the craziest banger rally on the European circuit before joining in with 40,000 others lobbing squashed tomato's at each other. The rally takes place in late August 2009

The rally lasts for four days as teams compete in the daily challenges to score points and simply put the team with the most points at the end of it all is the winner.

We start in Calais in France before heading south taking in Annecy, San Remo, Perpignan and finally ending up in Valencia. That's around 1500 miles through, and there are always a few surprises! We then turn around and drive back again!!

Our weapon of choice is a 165000 mile Ford Mondeo "GLX" TD

Originally red, Dave2 has been a little neglected over the years and comes complete with Gaffa tape wheel arches, A tailgate resembling a culendar and not a great deal of laquer left on the paintwork. We soon sorted that though -  Say Bacon in a Jamaican accent slowly and our decorative idea will be revealed! Beeeeer Can - See what we've done there!!

Dave is becoming a bit of a theme here, last year we called the car Dave and sold it to a guy called Dave afterwards and this year we bought Dave 2 from a guy called Dave!
