Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

From August 2009 to August 2010 I have the honour to be the Master of the Worshipful Company of Joiners and Ceilers of the City of . A key objective of my Master's year is to raise a considerable sum for my chosen charity - .

is home to over 130 adults with special needs, living in extended families together with houseparents. All lead full and fulfilling lives, with everyone contributing the best of his or her skills to the work of the community as a whole. Genuine care and concern for each other makes for a unique atmosphere that always inspires. Botton is one of eleven communities within the Camphill Village Trust Ltd., a registered charity and non-profit making company, and is one of over forty members of the Association of  Camphill Communities in the . One of the houses, Falcon Farmhouse, needs renovation and  I am seeking to raise a minimum of £17,000, which will cover the cost of a Conservatory, with any balance going to the rest of the farmhouse refurbishment.

I should be delighted if you could support me by sponsoring me in the Master Joiner’s Walk and Run Charity Challenge. This has two parts:

The Walk – the 190 mile Coast to Coast Walk from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hoods Bay in Yorkshire from Saturday 12 September to Thursday 24 September 2009; and The Run – the Half on  Sunday 21st March 2010 at 10:30am [STOP PRESS - successfully completed in 11 days with only one big blister! Running training is now starting!]
