Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. As you know on April 13 2008 I complete my first and I thought my last London Marathon! Well exactly 20 hours after finishing in a moment of madness I decided to do it all again and applied online. This time I am running for The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre. As you may know this is a charity very close to my heart.
As some of you will know my mother is a long-term sufferer of Multiple Sclerosis. MS is the most common disabling neurological condition effecting around 85,000 people in the UK alone. To explain MS in simple terms the immune system that usually fights off bacteria mistakes it’s own body for foreign tissue and attacks the myelin sheath, which protects the nerve endings leaving them scarred resulting in various disabilities.
My mother has been amazing dealing with the disease and tries not to let it effect her keeping positive at all times. It’s the support of The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre that does so much for sufferers like my mother. They give a tremendous amount of support for MS sufferers so every penny raised will really help. Nothing is too small or large and all is really appreciated.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
