My name is James McComish and I am running the London Marathon in 2008 for Help the Hospice. To make the race more enjoyable (may have that word wrong) I will also be attempting to break a Guinness World Record in the category of 'Fastest Marathon dressed as a film character'. In the 1980's like every other child I was addicted to Star Wars, so I thought why not embrace my childhood dream and run as a Star Wars character. Therefore as you have probably guessed from the picture I will be running as Darth Maul from Episode I The Phantom Menace.

I have decided to run for Help the Hospice as the work they do is excellent and makes a massive difference to the lives of so many people. If the money I raise can help just one person   then I have achieved my aim and the pain of running 26 miles just doesn't compare.
