Thanks for taking the time to visit my New York Marathon fundraising page.
On Sunday 2nd November 2008 I will be trying my very best to complete 26.2 miles around New York in order to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. This is a cause that means a lot to me, as sadly I lost my Aunty to cancer earlier this year, so I will be thinking of her as I attempt to drag myself around the marathon course and over the ridiculously long-looking bridge pictured on the left on the big day.
In case you didn't know, Macmillan Cancer Support does a huge amount to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. If you are generous enough to sponsor me, the money raised will help provide practical and emotional support for people living with cancer. It will also help specialist Macmillan nurses and doctors build vitally needed treatment centres and give financial help to those who need it most; as well as providing a range of cancer information both locally and nationally. For more information, please visit www.macmillan.org.uk
Donating through my Justgiving page is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you in advance for all of your support and donations, as it really means a massive amount to me and to the people that your money will help through the efforts of Macmillan!
James
