Story
This run is going to be brutal and I hope you will help me through it by digging deep and donating generously. To make this more fun I'm going to set myself a few goals. When you sponsor, please pick an option and honour it suitably when I come back?!
1. If I finish the race - pay your original sponsor only.
2. If I finish the race in 6 hrs or less - donate an extra £5.
3. If I am the first GB runner - donate an extra £10.
4. If I am the first non Nepali - donate an extra £20.
5. If I win - donate an extra £50
Ok, so I'm not strictly running down from the top of Mount Everest but I will be taking part in this year's Everest Marathon, which starts at base camp (5184m) and finishes in Namche Bazaar (3446m). My Dad has done it and I thought it was time I had a crack too.
Nepal is a beautiful country and having visited twice, I can appreciate the good work which CAN do. Their efforts are even more vital since the devastating spring earthquakes. The Nepali people benefit hugely in many ways from CAN and any money I can get out of your pockets will be greatly appreciated.
