Story

CHARITY WALK IN MEMORY OF JAMIE HANCOCK

FOR ARMY BENEVOLENT FUND

Sergeant Joe Hancock (Duke of Lancaster's Regiment) will be joining family and friends on a sponsored walk on Sunday October 4th 2009 in memory of his brother Jamie Hancock, who died on active service in on 6th November 2006, aged 19; and all the other service men and women who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. The walk will be based around the Longdendale Trail near Glossop in Derbyshire and will be approximately 13 miles.

The funds raised from this event will be used to support the Army Benevolent Fund (reg. charity 211645). The fund helps to support our troops many of whom are returning from and suffering from physical or psychological injuries. For some of these service men and women it may signify the end of a much loved Army career.
