WELL, WE DID IT! We had a few mechanical problems with one of our team's bikes and treated the event as a social stroll with frequent stops to allow our ailing rider to catch up and (of course) to sample some rather nice real ales on the way. The weather was kind and the variety of conversations with some of the other 9000 cyclists as we toiled along made it a memorable and delightful day
