Story
During 2007 sadly I lost 2 friends to Cancer - Tom & Yvonne
I started running in 2006 when my bike was stolen - I completed 3 half marathons (Windsor, Singapore & Hong Kong) all in reasonable times, so decided I would have a go at a full Marathon - I started with New York which has to be one of the best starter marathon courses and completed the course in 4hr 21mins. I then rather foolishly went for the Singapore marathon, I did the first half OK but died on the 2nd half when the sun came up and the heat reached 30C!
I now have a place on the London Marathon in April 2008, the heat should not be such a problem (although it was hot last year), I also have enough time to do the training!
The charity I have chosen is the Sue Ryder Hospice. The Hospice in Nettlebed provides specialist nursing care and makes a massive differance in these difficult situations for everone involved, It costs £2.1m annually to keep the hospice running (£1.36m of this has to be raised annually through voluntary contributions)
Please dig deep and sponsor me online as it will make a difference.
Thank you Very Much
