Our baby girl 💖 facing something no child should ever have to, or anyone at any age for that matter. Sadly our princess was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on Friday 11th June 2021. We, as her parents, are heartbroken. Terrified. Angry. Too many emotions to put into words 😣😔💔

From Monday 14th June, Emilia began a 2 year journey of more platelet & blood transfusions, various theatre procedures, chemotherapy & other medications. She had a central line fitted through a main artery which comes out of her chest to administer chemo medication, withdraw blood etc, a nose tube fitted to administer syringe liquid medication, alot for a small child to fathom! We never imagined any of our children would ever face this. You hear about it but you never think it will happen to your family.
In the space of 3 days her little life and ours turned upside down.

Emilia has been amazing and for only being 3 and a half she has took it all in her stride 💖

From one parent to another, if you have even a slight inkling something may be wrong with your child please ask for that second opinion! Emilia showed no signs of leukaemia other than being slightly more tired than normal and being a little pale! There needs to be more awareness around this and I hope by going through this journey with my daughter that I can learn enough to start contributing towards raising awareness.

We were kindly put in touch with a charity called Angel Wishes by another parent on the ward we take Emilia to! This charity offers so much to parents and children like us! It could be anybody having to walk through those doors unexpectedly and the support Angel Wishes give is unbelievable! As they rely solely on donations coming in to run the charity we thought if we can even raise a little to help Angel Wishes with this situation we are in then Emilia's journey will make a difference!
