Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the 2009 London Marathon.

Well the training is over and so is the marathon. Thank you to everyone who sponsored me. I got round in 4 hours 39 minutes, which was about 30 minutes off the time I wanted, but 17 minutes faster than last time and no tears!

Help for Heroes is my chosen charity, so please continue to give if you can. I've finished it now and supposedly it was the hottest London Marathon on record (19c) - ouch. I drank over 1.5 litres of water/lucozade over the course and thanks to all the jelly babies and sweets from supporters along the way.

If I ever fancy doing this again (which is unlikely) I may well move to Morroco and do some aclimatisation training like Paula. Britain is rubbish, you train for six months in snow, rain, hail and ice and then the day is best day of the year! A law called Sod.

I know it's a tough economic climate at the moment and giving to charity must feel at bit of pinch, but you would be giving to a charity worthy of the cash. I managed to get into the marathon through the ballot, so any money you provide via this site will go straight to Help for Heroes and will not pay for a golden bond place.
