A massive thank you to everyone who came to the Macmillan Music Jam on Tuesday, and to everyone that helped make the evening so much fun. We raised over £400 for the charity on the night, so thank you, thank you is all I can say! Read about the night on my blog soon.

I'm back form the land of fire and ice- you can read all about the challenge here: http://jenthorley.blogspot.com/2009/08/back-from-land-of-fire-and-ice.html
UPDATE: In case anyone thinks a 100km trek sounds like a walk in the park (albeit a very large 'park' with canyons, volcanoes and ice!) I've just signed up for the Macmillan 10k run on June 21st in Regents Park. Bearing in mind that the furthest I have ever run is 5k and that was last year, this will be a real challenge for me, so if you're feeling generous and like the idea of causing me yet more pain, that would be fab!

UPDATE: Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far, you've been absolutely amazing and the total is ticking along nicely! Plans are underway for a summer fundraising event soon, so I'll keep you posted on my blog.

Hi everyone, Thank you for visiting my fundraising pages. In August 2009 I'm off to trek up and down the mountains and fjords of Iceland (100km in total) in aid of the lovely Macmillan Cancer Support. I'll be hiking in (not quite) freezing temperatures for six days, camping outside in weeny tents, open to everything nature can throw at me. And as anyone who knows me well will realise, 6 days worth of slogging up and down hills is going to be one huge challenge, so any donations you can make will be greatly appreciated. Big or small your contribution will help to support people living with cancer. Find out how Macmillan helps at http://www.macmillan.org.uk or read about my travel and fundraising adventures at http://jenthorley.blogspot.com/
