Story

Hello, welcome to the 2007 sponsorship page for Jewel of the Nene.

This page is two young dynamic adventurers' (John Green & Harry Horsley) charity bid to row 100 miles from Warwick to Peterborough in a twelve foot inflatable dinghy! The event will take an estimated 8 days on the Grand Union Canal and River Nene and will commence on Saturday 30th June and should end at The Boathouse in Peterborough on Saturday 6th July (with any luck!)

Last year we raised £271.71 for Marie Curey and hope to at least double that figure this year. The trip was a resounding success (although we did have a few problems!) and generated a lot of media interest, this year we hope to do it bigger, better and longer!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
