I am proud to be running for the Welsh branch of Parkinson's. Rhys' father Gwynn was diagnosed with this cruel disease some years ago and anything that can be done to further research, treatment and improve quality of life is worth a few pounds of your hard earned money and a few hours of my time.

I will keep you posted on how the training and the half marathon goes but in the meantime thank you very much for your support.

Well just a week to go and I am just about to set off on my 10 mile run which will be the longest before race day. I have my race number and chip for my shoe (to get my timing) so am all set. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far and all the readers of Llais who may have seen the note that Cynthia kindly added for me. Please keep your support coming in and I will let you know how I get on.

Hurray - I finished! Had a great morning and would just like to say thank you so much for all the support on the way round and to Gruff, Kay and Rhys who spurred me on to the finish line. It is quite emotional and I went through the usual thoughts of not thinking I would finish to feeling like I was on top of the world. I will update the photo shortly but just wanted to let you all know. xxx

Sadly on the 16th November Gwynn lost his brave battle for life and passed away in the early hours of the morning. Thankfully he is now at peace with the angels. It makes this run all the more poignant for me and the family so a special thank you to everyone who has dug deep and helped break the target so fantastically.
