We provide high-quality specialist care to local people with serious illnesses

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Ok, so this is me......... For those of you who have known me for years,  you may remember that I did a trek for Mencap about 10 years ago ( time flies!) and have decided to take on another fund raiser and my goal is the Inca Trek in Peru in October.

Why the cause - St Giles Hospice ?

For those that we love and are no longer here, and the family, friends and memories they leave behind.

These people are in my thoughts and prayers, but I felt that I could do more, and hopefully with enough goodwill, hard work (and it is hard work!) I can raise enough to keep the hospice running for  few days - just from my fundraising !

I know my family are out of the area for St. Giles Hospice, however its my local hospice, and the work they do is fantastic for the local community. £250 provides 24 hours of dedicated specialist hospice at home care, £50 will provide a bereavement counselling session...... every single penny helps.

Why the trek ? Well , to be honest, I am feeling very very lucky right now and thankful for the health I have. I can go out walking , which I love and not suffer after. I can use the gym , swim, dive and still enjoy life to its fullest - others are not so fortunate. So while I can - I'm going to do it !

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Giles Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
