The Great River Race 2007 · 18 August 2007
At last the target has been hit with a combination of online / Offline and Gift aid sponsors.
As you know Saturday 8th September saw the 20th Great River Race take place on the Thames.
The race is a gruelling 22 miles long and is the rowing equivalent of the London Marathon, attracting the experienced racer and the fun rower alike.
My crew, comprising of six rowers, one cox and one passenger, competed in a 34ft long Thames Waterman Cutter "TrinityTide" owned by Trinity House.
We completed the race in 2 hours and 41 minutes.
10 minutes quicker than our time last year.
We were 38th fastest out of 283 boats.
And the 4th City Based crew over the line.
Thanks to Gift Aid.
The Staff of Brightside.
Billericay Town FC.
My Family and Friends

A very special word of thanks to the crew of TrinityTide who were
