Fundraising for Children's Heart Surgery Fund

I am 15 years old. In May 2007 I had a heart operation - since I was about 2 years old I have been monitored for a condition known as coarctation of the aorta - a narrowing of one of the arteries taking blood from the heart. The operation took place in LGI. I was in Ward 10 for 5 days and the doctors and nurses were fantastic. I saw many younger children who had already had several operations. Some families had to stay in the hospital for weeks. I want to do something to say thank you for all the help I received and to show that even after a heart operation it is possible to lead a normal active life. The CHSF supports the families of children in my situation and provides equipment for the unit.
