Story

John Parker died on 1st April 2021. 

John was one of the country’s leading coachmen, holder of two World Records.  Most famously associated with the London-Norwich Royal Mail Coach, he and his life-long partner and wife Susan owned Swingletree Stables from where they travelled the country giving displays with their lovely grey carriage horses.

At Swingletree they shared their passion for carriage driving through teaching and chatting with the many visitors to their home.

SANDERS WATNEY TRUST

The Sanders Watney Trust was established in 1986 to assist and enable carriage drivers with disabilities.  It provides financial assistance to enable those confined to wheelchairs and other disabilities to achieve their goal of carriage driving.

The Sanders Watney Trust is a registered charity established in 1986. In association with the British Driving Society and the RDA the Trust provides financial assistance to enable carriage drivers with disabilities to achieve their goal of carriage driving.
