Story
First of all thank you for taking the time & interest to visit my fundraising page. Even though I have never done an event like this before I have entered the London Triathlon super sprint distance (400m swim/ 10km bike/ 2.5km run). I really am up for doing this & with your generosity I will be able to raise £3500 for the Association of Children's Hospices
A few words on what this charity is about.
It is every parent's worst nightmare to be told their child will die before them. But for an estimated 20,000 families across the UK this is a reality. Some of these children will die when they are very young; others will deteriorate slowly over a number of years. In most cases full-time care falls to the parents - 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Not surprisingly the whole family is under huge emotional, physical and financial strain.
Children's hospices are places where the needs of these families are the priority, helping them make the most of the precious time they have left - making each moment count.
The Association of Children's Hospices (ACH) is the only national charity representing all children's hospices in the UK and the children and families they care for. They are dedicated to improving the lives of these children, and their families, by improving the provision and funding of children’s hospice services and raising awareness of the needs of these children and their families. Everyone in the UK has a children’s hospice in their region doing vital work with local children and families. Through the work of ACH you can reach every children’s hospice service in the country making a real difference nationwide.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Association Of Children's Hospices will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Every pound counts!
Many thanks for your support.
