We raise funds to support patients with kidney disease.

Story

This summer I'm taking time away from work to walk the length of the French Pyrenean mountain range. The journey starts in Hendaye on the Atlantic coast and finishes in Banyuls-sur-Mer on the Mediterranean coast. The walk is 890 kilometres  and involves climbing the equivalent of over 5 times the height of Mt Everest.         The walk is entirely self-funded but I hope to raise money money for  the Guy's and St. Thomas'  Kidney Patients' Association. The KPA  supports funding for the Kidney Unit's present and  future.  At present it supports patient projects varying from the Ronald Macdonald House (where the families of children receiving treatment can stay) to helping patients participate in the Transplant Olympics.  Future activities include pledging £500,000 over the next three years to the Medical Research Council Transplant Unit under Proffessor Sacks which is researching new ways to improve the outcome of kidney transplantation.                                                                            Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me, if you're a UK taxpayer - Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.  So please sponsor me now!
