I was 50 in February, and to celebrate it my wife Sally decided to enter me for the Dublin Marathon!  I have never run a marathon before and am dreading the last 6 miles.  I have set up this page because a lot of people are asking to sponsor me.  I had previously decided not to run for a charity.  However, as you insist....

I have chosen the Old Vic as perhaps it is unfashionable not to run for an illness or a human cause, but I thought a local regional building and establishment needs supporting too.  It's a splendid theatre in desperate need of funds.  So please give generously as I have set quite a high target!
