Hi Everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to sponsor me for the London Marathon.  Most of you now know that I am running the marathon for Cancer Research UK.  I have chosen this particular charity as my Grandmother recently passed away suddenly because of Liver cancer and I also know many people close to me who have/are suffering with cancer.

I want you all to know that I am not purely 'running' the marathon, but I am actually looking at busting my balls to get a semi-decent time.  A friend of mine ran the marathon two years ago in 3hr41m and I have vowed many a time after a few beers to 'smash his time to pieces'. Although this may not happen, I am attempting to try and get as close to/beat his time as possible.  I have started to train really hard, and am currently running 3/4 times a week and the mileage covered is gradually increasing.

I want you all to know that your money will be going to a really good cause, and I am sure everybody knows at least one person who has suffered at the hands of Cancer.  If, like most of the nation, you don't donate to charity on a regular basis then please make this your one time this year to donate to a really good cause.

I hope to do you all proud in April and I also look forward to letting you all know my time.
