Story

It is very presumptuous of me to think that I may receive a pressie or two in acknowledgement of my significant birthday this year!  However, there really is nothing I need, so I want to take this opportunity to ask that you donate anything you may have spent on me to Great Ormond Street Hospital instead.  It is a far better cause.

I am sure everyone knows why Great Ormond Street is so special to us.  After Max was transferred there on 26th August 1999 we had some of our best times with him.  It was there on 21st November that same year that, surrounded by so many of the people who had given everything to help him overcome his many challenges, he took things into his own hands and went to a better place.

Also remembering of course our girls, Jasmine and Hanna, who, although they never needed the support of Great Ormond Street, would be happy to know we are supporting all the children that do.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support, and Happy Birthday to me!  Bring on the next 40 years ...
