Story
Many thanks to everyone who sponsored me. Breakthrough Breast Cancer are very grateful to all those who have donated and your money is going to a brilliant cause. Fantastic weather and what a brilliant experience - definitely again next year.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Breakthrough Breast Cancer gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Having completed the John O'Groats to Lands End cycle ride a few years ago I wanted to 'tick the box' on another endurance event and, after many years trying to get through the ballot into the FLM, I've finally managed it and will be running with thousands of others on 26th April 2009. Even though this is a ballot entry I wanted to attach myself to a particular charity so that the training effort is not wasted.
So, I'm using a number of events to help me on my way. If anyone fancies joining me then please feel welcome :-)
Sodbury Slog (9th November 2008), The Grim (6th December 2008), Rough n Tumble 10 (11th January 2009), Mayhill Massacre (1st February 2009), Steyning Stinger (1st March 2009), Fleet Half Marathon (15th March 2009) and a final 10K at Dunsfold Park (19th April, 2009)
The majority of us will know of someone who has been affected by breast cancer. It's not just an age thing and it's not even just women (1% are men). And whilst it may start in the breast tissue it is not uncommon for secondary cancer to occur where the cancer cells spread - to bones, lungs or liver.
Many thanks for visiting this page and I do hope that you'll consider sponsoring me.
Footnote: Many thanks to my company, Moore Stephens, for donating £250 from their Charitable Foundation.
