Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I wanted to do something to challenge myself in the year that I turned 50 I started with a simple challenge to run a minimum of 1 mile per day during 2016. I am currently around 260 consecutive running days. Me being me I found it was not challenging enough. I needed a bigger challenge. . If running 38 miles over the Scottish Borders isn't challenging enough , I don't know what is! History suggests that once the Eildon Hills were a single hill before they were split into three by the wizard Michael Scott . On the middle hill there is the famous Scotts view and believe me I want to capture that on camera!
Then I came to thinking if I'm going to do something this big, then I should do it for charity so that others can benefit in a less exhausting way from my craziness. I've also threatened to stand up there and sing the hills are alive with the sound of music. If I reach the £100 target maybe the fellow runners will be spared the misery of my singing.
St. Michaels Hospice have cared for many people over the years in my home town of Hastings. More importantly they allowed three of my close family to end their days in dignity. Recently hit by fire the hospice is slowing getting back on its feet. If I can raise just £100 this will go a little way to ensuring the hospice remains a valued service in our community. Quick update!! The race blog can be found here, along with my singing challenge on the second peak. wp.me/p65AZ6-eK
