Story

Anyone who knew Julie will know that she didn't easily back down (Tom Petty influenced) and was quite happy to fight her way out of anything! 🥊

She didn't once complain about her illness in all the years since 1995! The numerous Dr's seen, hospitals visited, several surgeries undergone and even with all the boxes of medication that took over the kitchen! 🚑🏥

Nothing would stop her from enjoying the occasional rock concert though or 2... or 3... or whenever she felt like it to be honest! It just meant, if she was going then we were all going! 🤘

She was a very organised person and devoted her time to her job within the bank - being rarely seen over the summer holidays due to overtime excitement! 🏦

With everything going on in her own life she still ensured that my brother and I had the best time whether that be travelling around the country playing violin, birthday trips to Alton Towers and of course plenty of trips to her favourite place... The Ivy! 🎻🎡🦞

She has some amazing friends who gave her such fun times from going to The ReUsers, evenings out together or down The Vesey for that regular jacket potato! ♻️

Over the last few months as things became difficult we all had to adjust together as a family. Mom kept us all amused though with her funny antics and plenty of lists for jobs needed doing - we're still working through some of these!! 📝

Going into John Taylor the first time was quite scary as you don't know what to expect, however the staff soon put your mind at ease. They were such kind and caring people and were there for all of us not only my Mom.

With the wedding brought forward, my Dad and I stayed over the night before to which the rooms were all decorated by the John Taylor staff! From a flower arch around Mom's door, to candles on the tables, to personal messages and a large bottle of champagne! This was amazing and moved us all with everything going on. 🤵👰

In the morning we all got ready together and celebrated like it was a normal day and all the staff lined up to watch us leave for the ceremony, and all greeted us again on our return. 💐

They became like a little family you didn't realise you had and were such pleasant people to be around - even after encouraging us to bring the FedEx crazy cats in to see Julie (which she loved)!!! 🐱🐈

They deserve so much more than we could ever give for everything they did to help my Mom and make her life as easy as possible at the end. ❤️

If you could donate anything to help this amazing charity, it would be greatly appreciated by my family, friends and the charity themselves who rely on donations to continue this special service! 🏆
