Story
On April 14th 1988 I gave birth to twin boys David and Nicholas. At first they appeared healthy, but soon they were diagnosed with congenital heart defects(hypoplastic left heart). Sadly they died within three weeks of their birth.
This year they would have been celebrating their 21st birthday and it seems a fitting memorial that it be marked by raising some money for the charity with which I have been involved for the last four years.
Supported by my husband Steve and our other children Ped, Vikki, Rob and Andy I make tiny items of clothing for premature babies, very sick babies in intensive care and babies who do not survive.
Many people donate wedding dresses, fabric, ribbon and lace to the charity and I use these to sew burial gowns, buntings, angel pockets, easy to use vests and nighties, quilts.
My aim, over the coming 12 months, is to make 1000 items for the charity and I would like you to sponsor me by making a donation to Bonnie Babies so that they can distribute these items to babies in hospitals and hospices, giving support and comfort to parents and families who find themselves in the same situation as we once were.
I shall keep this page updated with my totals through the year. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please visit the charity's website at
