Story
Our Dad - Eustace ( known as Hughie) Brohier died on 2nd January of Pancreatic Cancer only three months after the diagnosis. Late diagnosis is characteristic of the disease and consequently treatment is very often not successful. Pancreatic Cancer - is called the 'silent killer' because of its lack of noticeable symptoms in early stages.
Dad's funeral is to be held on 22nd January and rather than floral tributes he would have appreciated the money being donated to a 'worthy cause'. Pancreatic Cancer research will support greater understanding of the disease including causes and eventually enable earlier diagnosis to ensure prompt treatment and a better prognosis.
