Story
The Mongol Rally is a 10,000 mile (depending on your route) rally, all in the aid of charity. Starting off at Hyde Park in London on the 18th of July 2009, and Finishing at Ulaan Baatar in MONGOLIA approximatly 4 weeks later!
The rules for the rally are very basic, the main one being that the car you do the journey in, has to be worth less than £1000, and have an engine which is 1 litre or less. Basically, an old banger!
After all 300 spaces were taken up within 22 seconds (none of which was a space belonging to us) we were stuck on the waiting list. But low and be hold, a few weeks later, after we thought all hope was lost, we received an email telling us there was a place on the rally if we wanted it! So after scrapeing together the £650 entrance fee, we are now officially going to be part of the Mongol Rally 2009!
Support from all you guys would be really awesome, so please keep checking back to this page for updates and so forth, or to give us any advice/tell us we're idiots for attempting it etc!
Hopefuly i am purchasing an 1982 Fire engine, fully servicable to be able to donate out there. So please donate, please check for up dates and PLEASE have a laugh at my expense.
