Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On October 12th 2008 I will be running the Chicago Marathon in memory of my mother, Rosemary Ann Hall. In her later years she came to rely on the services of St Christopher's hospice as an out patient, where amongst other things she became a budding artist and sculpture. The Hospice provided my mum with emotional, spiritual and physical relief from the distressing symptoms her illness. On the 13th of June 1997 after a long struggle with breast cancer she passed away, aged 50. St Christopher's Hospice relies entirely on the support of families and friends in providing life enhancing services and facilities for people like my mum. This will be my third Marathon, and the second that I have run for the hospice. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: St Christopher's Hospice will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you. Please donate generously. Many thanks for your support.
