Hi folks,

Last year I agreed to take part in the Great North Run.  Not being especially fit this was going to be a challenge...being of the larger-framed variety of male (16-17-ish stone!) this is going to be even more of a challenge.  Leaving serious training as late as possible was just a silly decision on my part - I have started, but I have some serious catching up to do!!

So why did I chose the Percy Hedley foundation?    Dylan, a friend of mine's son from Newcastle, is severely disabled.  Dylan and his family have taken considerable support from this charity - they have made a very significant difference to his Quality of Life.
