****Thanks for all the support so far, I have now ran the New York Marathon in a time of 3hrs 51mins 44seconds****

As many of you will know already my name is Justin Fotheringham. I am going to be running the Glasgow Half Marathon on Sunday 5th September 2010 and the New York Marathon on Sunday 7th November 2010.(in total 39.3 miles)

WHY? Well I enjoy running but my main reason is to try and raise in the region of £3000 to donate to MacMillan Cancer Support. I have had family and friends who have battled with Cancer as I'm sure most of the people reading this will have to. MacMillan Cancer provide the support to the sufferers of Cancer and their families, this support will help some people through their battle, for others it will simply make there last months, weeks or days a little more comfortable.

Please donate as much as you can, the training is hard and seeing the donations building up will give me great encouragement. The likelyhood is that you will in the future need the help of MacMillan Cancer support, if not directly then via friends and family.

 

I'd like to say a big thanks to all those who helped me with and attended the Bombay Cottage curry night on Friday 27/08/2010. There was £1630.50 raised on the night.
