We fundraise for five London hospitals to improve the care given to patients

Story

The Global Medics Australian Team (Justyn (honorary), Sam, Ben, Bonnie and Amber) are currently preparing to run the ‘City to Surf’ on Sunday 9th August 2009 http://www.city2surf.com.au/. The City to Surf is the iconic 14km race from Hyde Park, to the spectacular .

Not only are we challenging ourselves by pushing our fitness levels to the limit, but we are doing this to raise money for the up-keep of the amenities for cancer patients within The Garry Western Cancer Unit at , which is my charity of choice for this race. As many of you may have had someone close to you suffer from cancer, you will know how it feels to want to help them, and others in similar situations, in any way that you can.

Our colleague Helen Fulchiron has worked for Global Medics for over 4 years, and was diagnosed with colon cancer in March 2008. Since that time Helen has worked continually, through periods of treatment, and her dedication to her work has never wavered. The Garry Western Cancer Unit is a specialist cancer unit in Hammersmith that is currently caring for Helen but is extremely under-funded; your support would go some way to making sure patients like Helen receive a better quality of treatment.

Please help our cause by donating today: http://www.justgiving.com/justyn-randall. My aim is to raise £5,000 in the next 2 weeks and to help reach this Global Medics will match $ for $ £ for £ on all monies raised for this very important charity, so please give generously.
