So please dig deep and donate now.

My name is Kaitlyn and I am 11 years old. In August my hip started hurting when I walked and over the next 3 weeks it got worse and worse. In the end I had to go to Casualty and they told me I had got a SUFE (slipped upper femoral epiphysis) which meant that the top of my thigh bone had slipped off the growth plate. This only happens to about 1 in 50,000 children! I had to have an operation straight away to screw me femur back together before it broke completely. Since then I havent been allowed to walk on it at all and have had to use crutches and a wheelchair to get around.

Ive realised how hard life is when you can't walk and its made me feel really sorry for other kids who might never be able to walk. At least I know I will get better one day.

This made me want to do something to help other children in our area and so I decided to try and raise some money for them so that they can have extra help or have extra presents at Christmas to cheer them up. I'm going to join in with Trinity and Brian House's Santa Dash on the 2nd of December on Blackpool promenade. Most people are walking or running but I can't... so I'm going to get in my wheelchair and push myself for 2 miles!

It would be really lovely if anyone reading this could help .. even a pound sponsorship could go a long way towards my £200 target.

Thankyou for reading my story and thankyou for your help!
