We send used bicycles to Africa to improve access to water, education, jobs

Story

In  November 2013 Noelle and Kevin will cycle 380 miles on their own  through the Karoo desert and over 4 mountain passes to raise awareness and funds for the Bicycling Empowerment Network South Africa.  <http://benbikes.org.za/>

We need to raise a minimum of £4000 to pay for the transport of  a container load of bikes from www.re-cycle.org<http://www.re-cycle.org>  to help kick start a new project. Visit our Facebook page for more info and fundraising ideas.

The bicycles will be re-cycled and used to enable people living in remote areas to travel the long distances to work and school.

The container will be used as a workshop providing a small and affordable cycle repair business to serve the community

We collect used bicycles in the UK and we ship them, in containers, to people who need them in Africa. Some people living in rural African communities walk miles everyday to reach water, school, work or healthcare. Bikes are a sustainable mode of transport and help change lives for many families.
