Story
I've got GOOD news, GOOD news & GOOD news!!!
The GOOD news is I finished!! Not only that, I smashed my target time of 3hr 30 and come in at 3hr 11..Yey me!
The GOOD news is Brit Insurance have kindly agreed to match £1 for £1 all the money donated, that's like buy one get one free! Its not too late to donate, I've also loaded some highly embarrassing photos from Sunday...That's gotta be worth a few quid???
The GOOD news is that although I still have another 3 triathlons to complete this season (1 in two weeks time) I wont be bothering you for sponsorships for a good few years.
I look forward to catching up with you all soon
Kate
My splits (for those interested) are Swim:35.31, T1:3.16, Bike:1.34.45, T2:1.32, Run:56.51, Total 3.11.58

First of all thank you so so much to those who have donated already. I'm well impressed ... over £2k is way over what I ever imagined and makes all this training worth while, thank you so much.
I did the practice sea swim a couple of weekends ago and its possibly one of the hardest things I've ever done. I panicked massively and had to have some serious words with myself as I was on the verge of giving up. If I hadn't already raised so much money, there's a chance I might have so again, thanks for that motivation.
I'm just going into my final week of training now so thought I'd give the sponsorship one last push...............
If you prefer to donate in cash then pop me an email and I'll collect it off you next time I see you. xx

As many of you know I do like to test myself and sign up for the odd half marathon, Triathlon, 70 mile bike ride blah blah....
I don’t regularly raise sponsorship for these events; I just do them for fun?? However I’ve signed myself up for an Olympic distance Triathlon which is the biggest event I’ve done yet!! It includes a 1 mile sea swim in Llandudno bay, a 40K bike ride around the (very hilly) Great Orme & a 10k run down the promenade and the around the Little Orme and will probably take me in the region of about 3.5 hours. This one is really taking it out of me. While many are still tucked up in bed, I’m out doing laps of Regents park just so I can get my bike mileage in before work. I’ve been running 5 miles in & 5 miles home and even partaking in some outdoor swimming avec wetsuit in the local Lido. I’ve had to make a few social sacrifices (sorry those I’ve let down, hope you understand) but mainly I’m sacrificing my sleep. I’m knackered ALL the time!!! This is where you come in. I’d like to ask you all to sponsor me to give me more of a reason to get out of bed in the morning, get on with the training and get me in a position where I can finish this event. Your money will be going to two very, very worthwhile causes. My mum was diagnosed with Parkinson’s & Rheumatoid arthritis about 6 years ago which makes her very, very special (more so than she was already to us) Parkinson’s UK & ARC (Arthritis Research UK) are two charities that bring people, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, websites, magazines and other various mediums. They put us in touch with specialist nurses, and provide information and training on every aspect of the diseases. Both charities are leading the work to find a cure, and generally improve the lives of people affected by the diseases. They also campaign to change attitudes and demand better services. Their work is totally dependent on donations. I ask that you dig as deep as I’ve been digging in each and everyone of my training session and donate whatever you can to help. Thanks in advance for all your support & if you’re interested you can follow my progress on facebook. Kate xx
