Thank you all for taking the time to
visit my Just Giving page. On Sunday 16th May I will be running the Manchester
10k to raise money for a charity very dear to me - The John John Trust. This
will be my first attempt at any sort of running event (God help me!), but early
signs indicate that my training is going well (or so I am reassured by very
kind sporty friends!)
The John John Trust supports education in Kenya, Ghana, Uganda and Zambia. We
sponsor the education of 20 students and
have a number of other exciting projects on the go. For example - we have refurbished Sombo
Primary School in Ghana, extended and improved the facilities for orphaned and abandoned street children
at St Mary's Rehabilitation Centre in Kenya and sent clothes and
equipment to a hospital and orphanage in Zambia.
If you are able to
make a donation any amount – large or small - would be very gratefully received
and used for a great cause. If you are not able to donate - no problem - positive
thoughts and encouragement are equally welcome (and needed)!
Please have a look
at my photo gallery which shows some of projects I have taken part in as well
as some of the schools and students TJJT supports.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your
details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send
unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to
the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible
donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I
raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks for all your support..... See you at the
finish line!!
Kat xx
