Story

Thank you for taking time to visit my Just Giving page.

Well, i have just returned from Peru after having completed the awesome Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. It was without doubt the most challenging physical task i have ever achieved but it was worth every step and i would do it again in a heartbeat. As a group we have managed collectively to raise over £100k for the Hospital which will go towards the completion of Phase 2 of the new building programme giving staff and patients better working and treatment conditions.

Great Ormond Street Hospital provides inspirational and world class care to hundreds of children every day but they need to raise over £50 million every year. The money raised through this website will go towards providing new equipment specially adapted for little people, aid the re-development of the older and outdated parts of the Hospital and provide beds for more parents to stay alongside their child during their treatment. I know that when I was little and had to have just a routine operation to remove my ananoids I was so frightened and couldn't have done without my mum beside me. Being able to provide that facility for both the brave children and parents would make the difficult times that bit easier.
