Story
Dear all,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I have decided after spending the first 24 years of my life avoiding strenuous exercise, that this year is the year to set myself a challenge and run the London Marathon.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to run for Kith and Kids, a small London based charity who support children and young adults with disabilities and their families. Being a small charity, the money I raise will have a real, tangible impact for them. Any amount large or small is hugely appreciated!
Donating through 'Justgiving' is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kith and Kids will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
If anyone is in London on April 13th, then obviously I would love to see the odd friendly face around the marathon course!
Many thanks for your support!
Katy
5th March: I am delighted to have exceeded my original fundraising target of £1500! Please keep donating! x
27th March: I have exceeded the £2000 target....thank you!
15th April: I have completed my first marathon! Am happy to report that I made it round the course in 4 hours and 33 minutes and that despite the rain and hail I actually loved the whole experience (even if it was painful towards the end!) Thank you to those who stood in the rain and supported me on the way round, it really helped spur me on.
