UPDATE:
Event went really well but by God it was exhausting. PB in the swim (but still my weakest area by miles) but decent performances in both bike and run (despite very tired and stiff legs from the long break) saw me finish 46th overall in a time of 2 hours 28 minutes. 103 finished all three events from the 140 starters.
Good day and I enjoyed the beer - especially the one bought for me by Eurostar's MD (cheers!).

Hi,
Thanks to no less than 241 people who voted for me, I secured a place in the one-off Eurostar Tri-City-Athlon. This is an Olympic Distance Triathlon with a difference.
On September 14th at 7 in the morning, I'll do a 1,500m swim in the Basin de la Villette (Paris), then hop on a chartered Eurostar to Brussels where I'll do a 40km bike ride around the King Baudouin I Stadium (Heysel to you and I) and then finally travel back to Blighty for a 10km run around Regents Park finishing at about 7pm.
So many people helped me secure a place (only 140 contestants from UK, France and Belgium) so it would be great if everyone could help me raise a bit more money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
Cheers
Keith
