We fund research, campaign and support to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK. Only lung cancer kills more people. 35,500 people will be diagnosed with the disease this year, and around half of these will die.

But the good news is - it is one of the most curable cancers if caught early enough.

BEATING BOWEL CANCER is a great charity that is working to educate people so that they know the symptoms to look out for and, if found, what to do and where to go to for help.

Unfortunately most of us know someone, friend or family, who has lost their life to a form of cancer, and in some of these cases earlier detection may have helped their fight.

To help BEATING BOWEL CANCER with their work I am aiming to raise £10,000 over the next year through a series of events. I am starting off easy with the British 10k but I know to raise this amount of money you will need to see me go through some real challenges so they will be getting harder. I have several triathlons planned as well as:

6th Nov 09 - Pembrokeshire Challenge - 3 marathons in 3 days ( http://www.votwo.co.uk/votwo2007/events-and-adventure/race_view.php?v=2&c=1&i=86 )

26th March 10 - Jurrasic Coast Challenge - 3 marathons in 3 days ( http://www.votwo.co.uk/votwo2007/events-and-adventure/race_view.php?v=2&c=1&i=88 )

25th April 10 - London Marathon - only 1 this time!!

I will be keeping everyone updated on my progress but I'd like to thank everyone in advance for their support for me, and for this worthwhile cause.

Thank you

Keith
